Industrial Visit to Mapro Food Park, Wai
An industrial visit was organized for the students of MBA First and Second Year from Vidya Pratishthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT). A total of 87 students and 4 faculty members participated in this one-day educational visit to Mapro Food Park located at Shendurjane, Wai.
The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations, production processes, quality control, and management practices in the food processing industry.
Mapro Foods is a well-known Indian brand specializing in fruit-based products such as jams, syrups, squashes, and chocolates. The company has established a strong market presence through quality products, effective branding, and customer engagement strategies.
During the visit, students watched three short films about the company’s journey, growth, branding, and customer relations. Students visited the production unit and observed procurement of raw materials, processing stages, and manufacturing using modern machinery. Students received important information on ISO standards, testing procedures and food safety practices followed by the Mapro. At the end of the visit students visited to Mapro Garden and explored product displays and retail strategies adopted by the Company.
The visit provided the students with insights into manufacturing, quality control, supply chain management, branding, and real-world management practices.
The visit was informative and helped students gain practical exposure to industrial operations and management practices while also providing a recreational experience.
The visit was organized under the guidance of Dr. Anand Deshmukh. Prof. Sandeep Bhopale coordinated the visit. Faculty members Dr. Sagar Nimbalkar, Dr. Manisha Shelkande, and Prof. Swati Chougule actively contributed.
