    DetailsOn Friday, 05th June 2026, Vidya Pratishthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Baramati, organized a series of activities under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) in observance of World Environment Day (WED) 2026, themed “Climate Action,” as per the directives of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The event comprised three activities: 1. Tree Plantation, 2. Environment Pledge, and 3. Quiz Competition. A total of 83 students participated in these activities. They planted saplings near the amphitheater, taking a hands-on step toward greening the environment and combating climate change; they collectively took a pledge in the auditorium to adopt eco-friendly lifestyles and commit to protecting the environment through responsible actions and further tested and strengthened their knowledge of environmental issues, climate action, and sustainable living through an engaging quiz held in the computer lab. Students actively participated in all activities, reinforcing their responsibility towards environmental sustainability. The event was successfully organized and coordinated by Dr. Yuvraj Nalwade, HoD – BBA & BCA, and Dr. Archana Kadam, under the guidance of Dr. Anand Deshmukh, Director, VIIT, with the support of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
