Objectives

1. To create awareness among students about basic financial concepts such as saving, budgeting, and investing
2. To introduce students to financial markets, financial products, and investor protection mechanisms as per NISM guidelines.
3. To develop responsible financial behavior and long-term financial planning skills among students.
Outcomes 1. Students will gain a clear understanding of fundamental financial literacy concepts and their practical relevance.
2. Students will be able to identify suitable financial products and understand basic investment risks and returns.
3. Students will demonstrate improved financial decision-making and confidence in managing personal finances.
Conclusion in detail The Skill Development Program (SDP) on Financial Literacy Series, organized by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) under the Financial Literacy Program, was successfully attended by FYBBA students of Vidya Pratishthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) through online mode. The program aimed to enhance students’ understanding of fundamental financial concepts and encourage responsible financial behavior.

The SDP was conducted in two sessions on 13th December 2025 and 27th December 2025. Students attended the sessions in Computer Lab No. 02 at VIIT. Total 45 FYBBA students actively attended SDP. The sessions covered key topics such as savings, budgeting, investments, financial markets, risk–return concepts, financial products, and investor protection mechanisms. The structured delivery and practical insights enabled students to apply financial knowledge to real-life situations.

Prof. Ashwini Kadam coordinated students to attend SDP under the guidance of Dr. Yuvraj Nalwade, HoD BBA& BCA and Dr. Anand Deshmukh, Director VIIT.
