Conclusion in detail Vidya Pratishthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Baramati had the privilege of hosting Dr. Parag Kalkar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, and Dr. Nitin Ghorpade, Management Council Member, Savitribai Phule Pune University and Principal, Annasaheb Magar College, Pune, on Wednesday, 7th January 2026. During their visit, the esteemed dignitaries interacted with the students and provided valuable guidance.  Total 119 students attended this session of Interaction.

The programme commenced with the welcome and felicitation of the dignitaries by Dr. Anand Deshmukh, Director, VIIT Baramati. He welcomed the guests on behalf of the institute.

Following the felicitation, Dr. Nitin Ghorpade interacted with the students and emphasized the importance of concentration, mental well-being, and self-confidence, particularly during examination periods. He elaborated on the role of Yoga and Pranayama in stress management and improving focus and academic performance. He also demonstrated practical Pranayama technique and guided students regarding their correct and scientific practice, thereby promoting mental and physical well-being among students.

Subsequently, Dr. Parag Kalkar addressed the students and provided insightful guidance on the rapidly changing industrial environment and evolving market demands. He emphasized the need for students to continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills to remain relevant and competitive. He advised students to utilize the three-year undergraduate programme effectively by going beyond the prescribed curriculum and engaging in the development of technical competencies, exposure to emerging technologies, industry-oriented training, internships, project-based learning, and communication skills. He highlighted that such comprehensive preparation would enable students to become industry-ready upon completion of their degree programme.

Dr. Kalkar further encouraged students to set clear academic and career goals at the beginning of the new year. He suggested defining short-term and long-term objectives and making sustained efforts towards knowledge enhancement, skill development, and personality development. He emphasized that continuous upgradation is the key to professional success and expressed confidence that adopting this approach would ensure a bright and successful future for students.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the valuable guidance of the dignitaries and the active participation and support of faculty members, staff, and students. The interaction programme proved to be informative, motivational, and aligned with the objectives of quality enhancement and student-centric learning as envisioned by the institution.
