Brainwave 2026: State Level Intercollegiate Competition

Vidya Pratishthan’s Institute of Information Technology, Baramati successfully organized the two-days State Level Intercollegiate Competition “Brainwave 2026” for undergraduate and postgraduate students from colleges across the state. The event aimed to promote innovation, creativity, technical knowledge, and managerial skills among students by providing them with a vibrant platform for intellectual competition and collaboration.

The Undergraduate competitions, held on 27 February 2026, received an encouraging response with 46 registrations across IT and Management categories. In the IT segment, Mind Canvas (Poster Presentation) attracted 17 teams, where students presented innovative posters on emerging technologies, demonstrating research aptitude and creativity. Tech Titans (IT Quiz) recorded 15 team entries and was conducted through multiple rounds including elimination and buzzer rounds, testing participants’ technical knowledge and analytical thinking.

Under the Management category, ThinkBiz (Business Quiz) witnessed 10 teams competing in structured quiz rounds focusing on business awareness, current affairs, and managerial concepts. Mad Ad League (Advertisement Design Competition) had 6 teams, where participants creatively designed and presented advertisements based on given themes, showcasing originality, teamwork, and marketing strategy skills. The day was marked by enthusiastic participation and a strong competitive spirit among students.

The Postgraduate competitions, held on 6 March 2026, continued the momentum with 52 registrations from students demonstrating advanced technical and managerial competencies. In the IT category, Logic League, an individual coding competition, saw 18 participants solving complex algorithmic challenges that tested their programming and logical reasoning skills. Design Sprint Arena, a UI/UX design challenge, recorded 8 individual entries, where students developed innovative and user-friendly digital interface designs.

In the Management category, Market Minds (Advertisement Design) received 6 team entries, where participants created strategic marketing campaigns through creative advertising concepts. NextGen Start-up (Business Plan Competition) attracted 16 teams, with students presenting innovative business ideas, financial projections, and entrepreneurial pitches before a panel of experts.

Experts from related fields served as evaluators for both the levels of competitions. In every category of the competition, winner and runner-up teams were awarded with trophies and certificates. All the participants also appreciated with participation certificate.

Overall, Brainwave 2026 transformed the campus into a dynamic hub of innovation, knowledge sharing, and healthy competition. The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their talent, develop practical skills, and engage with peers from different institutions. The enthusiastic participation and impressive performances by students made Brainwave 2026 a memorable and successful academic initiative.
