    Youth Awareness Rally under Nasha Mukta Abhiyan

    In compliance with the circular issued by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, under the nationwide campaign Nasha Mukta Abhiyan, Institute (VIIT) organized a “Youth Awareness Rally” on 16th February 2026 at 11:30 AM.

    The activity aimed to create awareness among youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society.

    Objectives of the Activity

    • To spread awareness about the dangers of drug addiction.
    • To sensitize students about physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse.
    • To encourage youth participation in building a drug-free nation.
    • To promote the message of “Say No to Drugs”.
    • To support the Government of India’s initiative under Nasha Mukta Abhiyan.

    The rally commenced at 11:30 AM within the institute campus.

    Faculty members, administrative staff, and student volunteers actively participated in organizing and conducting the event. Students carried placards and banners displaying impactful slogans such as:

    • “Nasha Mukta Tarun, Sashakta Bharat”
    • “Choose Life, Not Drugs”
    • “Youth for Drug-Free India”
    • “Vyasan Mhanaje Jivantpani Maran”

    The rally passed through key areas of the campus and nearby surroundings, spreading awareness among students and the public. The participants raised slogans to convey strong messages against drug abuse. Total 175 Students of BBA, BCA, MBA and MCA programs were participated in the rally.

    Following the rally, all students and staff members were requested to take the official “Say No to Drugs” e-Pledge under the Nasha Mukta Abhiyan through the Government portal:

    Participants successfully completed the pledge and downloaded their certificates as proof of commitment towards a drug-free society.
